Step-by-Step Instructions for Posting Your Nonprofit Job

Watch the video tutorial or instructions below to post your nonprofit job to the UNA Job Board.

Follow the instructions below to create and post your job opening. 

  1. Log in to the UNA Member Info Hub (if you don't have a login yet, use the link on this page to create one first).
  2. Once in the Member Info Hub, click the "Post a Job" link on the left navigation menu.

Enter your job details in the fields as the appear on the form. Required fields are highlighted with a red stripe, other fields are optional. Below is an explanation of what to include for each field.

Title: Enter the job title.

Description: Enter all important details and information relating to the job description including the following items. Be sure to include any external hyperlinks in this section. 

    1. Position Summary
    2. Primary Responsibilities
    3. Qualifications
    4. Benefits
    5. Hours/Work Schedule
    6. How to Apply Instructions and any External Links

Search Description: This is a short description that will show with your listing on the main job board results page.

Categories: Please select as many categories as appropriate for your job from the dropdown menu.

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, etc. Select appropriate option.

Education Level: Select as appropriate. (optional)

Experience Level: Select as appropriate. (optional)

Organization Mission: Enter your organization mission. No more than a few sentences.

DEI/Nondiscrimination Statement: Enter your organization's nondiscrimination statement.

Job Location: If the job is onsite or hybrid, enter the location herethis can be general like a city name or the specific office address. (optional)

Work Model: Select appropriate option.

Compensation Type: Select appropriate option.

Job Status: Exempt, Nonexempt, or other

Closing Date: Enter the job closing date, if applicable. (optional)

Benefits Offered: Select all that apply (optional)

Pay Range*: Enter the job salary or wage range. Any of the following formats are acceptable.

  • $45,000 to $50,000
  • $60,000-$65,000
  • $75,000
  • $20-$25
  • $22/hour
  • $18-$20 per hour
  • $15 per hour

*Utah Nonprofits Association job postings require hourly wage and salary information (dollar amounts) as research has shown that the exclusion of salary information disproportionately impacts women and people of color.

Those who post jobs without pay amounts, including listing DOE or Depends on Experience, will be contacted by UNA to add the pay or to deactivate the job ad.

Providing salary/wage information tells our community and your potential candidates that your organization is transparent, seeks to create an equitable work environment that begins with recruiting, and models inclusive hiring for our sector and beyond.

Contact (can edit): Type the name of other colleagues who should have the ability to edit the job posting, click search and select individuals.

Posted by (displayed publicly): Your organization name will appear at the top of your job posting.

Publish Date: Should default to the current date

Publish End: Please select a publish end date for your job posting.

Search Results Image: This image will display along with your listing on the main job board results page. We recommend uploading your organization logo. (optional)

Other Images: You may upload additional images, though it is not recommended.

You are done! Click submit!

If you need to edit your job posting once after it is published, view the UNA Job Board in the Member Info Hub and select My Approved in the "Show Only" dropdown menu at the top of the page.
